Treatments that target the cause, not just the pain

Assessment, therapy plan and treatment — all in your first session. At our district 17 and 18 clinics we combine physiotherapy, manual therapy and physical therapy to fit your complaint and your everyday life.

Active and passive therapy in one treatment plan

Most musculoskeletal complaints have more than one cause: a restricted joint, an overloaded muscle and a poor movement habit keep the pain going together. That's why we rarely stick to a single method — hands-on techniques, device-based treatment and targeted exercise reinforce each other.

In our district 17 and 18 clinics you are seen by university-trained physiotherapists and manual therapists, with no referral needed. The first session is more than a conversation: after the assessment you get treatment right away, and you'll know the next step.

How do we decide which treatment you need?

During the physical assessment we look beyond the painful spot. We check your range of motion, muscle strength, and how your daily load — work, sport, sleeping position — feeds into the complaint. That shows whether we should start with passive techniques or move straight to exercise therapy.

Why does everyone get their own therapy plan?

Two similar cases of low back pain can have completely different backgrounds, which is why template programmes usually deliver only partial results. Here the plan follows your assessment, your goals and how much time you can realistically spend moving. We fine-tune it as your complaint changes.

The goal is not only getting rid of the pain, but also being able to maintain the result on your own — for that you get a short home programme you can actually keep up.

Assessment and consultation

Anamnesis / assessment

Your first visit starts with your story: how long the complaint has lasted, when it flares up, what you have already tried. Then comes the physical assessment, covering not only the painful area but your posture, movement patterns and daily load. We go through the findings with you on the spot, build the therapy plan, and start treatment during the same session.

Physical therapy treatment

Physical therapy

When pain makes it hard to start moving, device-based treatment gives you the first push. Physical therapy eases the complaint without medication, reduces inflammation and improves circulation in the tissues, so exercise becomes comfortable sooner. We always use it in a targeted way, as part of your therapy plan.

Personalised physiotherapy

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is the key to lasting results: we don't just treat the symptom, you also learn how to move so the problem doesn't come back. Our physiotherapists introduce every exercise together with you, correct your execution, and give you a home programme that realistically fits your week.

Manual therapy treatment

Manual therapy

During manual therapy you don't have to do anything — the therapist's hands do the work. With targeted techniques we release restricted joints, tight muscles and soft tissues that limit movement. Many patients report freer movement after the very first session; we then stabilise that with exercise.

Combined physical therapy treatment

Physical therapy combined with manual therapy

With strong, acute pain this is often the fastest route: hands-on techniques restore range of motion while device-based treatment calms inflammation and supports tissue regeneration. In our district 17 and 18 clinics TENS, ultrasound, cupping and Flossing are available — the assessment decides which one you get.

Combined physiotherapy treatment

Physiotherapy combined with manual therapy

Passive and active therapy work best together: first we release the restriction by hand, then we immediately lock in the newly gained range with exercises. That way the result doesn't fade over the following days. Combined treatment goes into your plan whenever the assessment shows it brings the fastest progress.

Medical Fitness personal training

Medical Fitness (personal training)

When the pain is gone but your capacity isn't back yet, this is where we continue. Medical Fitness combines functional physiotherapy exercises with cardio and interval training, under professional supervision. A good choice for rebuilding strength after a return, improving endurance or losing weight — always scaled to what you can handle.

Sport-specific physiotherapy treatment

Sport-specific physiotherapy

After an injury, returning isn't about the pain being gone — it's about whether your body can take the load of your sport. So at the end of rehab we review your movement patterns too: changes of direction, jumping, push-off. The goal is a confident return to the pitch or the gym with a lower risk of re-injury.

Which of our clinics would you like to start at?

Our district 17 and district 18 clinics work to the same professional standard, so simply choose the one that's closer to you or has an earlier slot. Book an appointment and treatment starts at your very first session.
